Please note: The sterilizer/carrier box, water and pacifiers may still be very hot after 5 minutes of cooling. Warning about the sterilization box Always check the temperature of the pacifiers before use. Incorrect water level, microwave power or length of use can lead to lower sterilization and may damage the sterilizer/carry box or pacifiers. Use only Philips Avent pacifiers and keep the box out of the reach of children. Pacifier – For the safety of your baby – WARNING! Check thoroughly before each use. Stretch the pacifier in all directions. Discard it if it shows any signs of damage or wear. Do not put the pacifier in water and then in the freezer. It could weaken the pacifier. Only use pacifier holders that have been tested in accordance with EN 12586. Do not attach any other loops or cords to the pacifier, as the baby could strangle on them. Do not tie the pacifier around the baby’s neck; there is a risk of strangulation. Always make sure your baby uses the correct size pacifier. Philips Avent pacifiers come in different sizes according to age range. Before first use: put the pacifier in boiling water for 5 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes before giving it to your child. Let the water trapped inside the pacifier cool down and then squeeze it out. This will ensure the necessary hygiene. Cleaning and sterilisation: wash the soother with warm water and mild soap before each use. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals/preparations to clean the pacifier. Excessive combinations of cleaning products can cause cracking of plastic parts. In this case, change the pacifier immediately. Soothers are suitable for all commonly used sterilisation methods. Clean surfaces and your hands thoroughly before touching sterilised pacifiers. Use: Always use this product under adult supervision. For safety and hygiene reasons, replace the pacifier after four weeks of use. DO NOT PANIC if the pacifier cannot be removed from the mouth. It cannot be swallowed, it is designed to be able to handle these situations as well. Carefully and as gently as possible, remove it from the mouth. Do not immerse the pacifier in sugary substances or medicines, the baby could develop tooth decay. Storage: store the pacifier in a sterilizer / carry case or in a dry covered container. Do not leave the pacifier in direct sunlight or near a heat source, or leave it in the sterilising solution longer than recommended, as it may break.
